Abstract

The production of information by citizens and publication of content on the Internet, particularly on news portals is a challenge for journalism and traditional media. Knowing this dynamic and how it can affect the role of the journalist is the purpose of this study, which seeks to discuss the extent to which this content produced and made available on the network complies with the technical and ethical principles of journalistic information. For this, we have developed analysis to check whether the contents of the Brazilian collaborative news portal G1 works with professional and ethical procedures. The analysis was based on news values and the editorial line of the object of study. Among the issues is the structure analysis of news, if its obey the standards of verification of information and the hearing of the parties involved. The study sought to reveal further the interests of the medium in addition to the collaborative content citizens. At the conclusion of the study, we also understand how the activity of the other papers won journalist from new media, to the extent that such professional becomes a "consolidator" of ideas and information on the net.
