Educommunication: the experience with young offenders

This paper discusses how the Project GAIA, directed to young offenders in fulfillment of educational measures, appropriates the Educomunication, a topic widely discussed by scholars, researchers, and professionals in the fields of communication and education (Soares, 2009; Baccega, 2005; Caldas, 2005). Among the values educomunicativos is the creation of environments, ecosystems educomunicativos where stakeholders can express themselves and act in a democratic way. From the identification of educommunication and its principles, verified through a case study by the Project GAIA, the practical application of these principles in daily practice conditions.
