Abstract

The rise of the internet and, mainly, the communicational resources that it provides incite an important debate on electronic government and digital democracy around the world. Therefore, researchers from different areas – such as Political Science and Communication – dedicate themselves to these themes. This article proposes to map dissertations and thesis on the subject developed in Brazil until 2013. The objective is, thus, to verify the trajectory of the study on electronic government and digital democracy in the country, pointing out the main conclusions to which the researchers have got through a brief analysis of the researches. Did the interest on the theme grow during the analyzed period, does an University stand out and what is the role of Communication in this debate are some of the questions that guide this article.
