The discourse of the tragic on the covers of the newspapers in Frutal-MG: the construction of violence and death in the front page headlines

Abstract

This article has objective to analyze “The photography ?s information and headline in the cover Frutal ?s newspaper”, with the objetive in analyze the tragic as principal of news, in form of violence and death. The city of Frutal, localized at Minas Gerais has approximately 60 thousand habitant. There are some local newspaper, to be the largest circulation the Jornal Pontal e Jornal de Frutal, the both has format standard, and has violence occupying the first page.The objective is show the concept of violence, death and the news value and notice the existence of thematic obsession in the use of the death on the newspapers’ covers, to understand the type of technique is used to make the newspapers’ covers, and that the use of this technique causes the formation of news and the information that each person reads this type of matter.
